Haba Group chairman Hassan Basajjabalaba appeared before Parliament's Committee on Commissions, Statutory Authorities and State Enterprises (COSASE) over money guaranteed by Bank of Uganda that the Auditor General says remains unrecovered. According to the Daily Monitor, the group said it did not receive the full Shs140.487 billion and that its own claim against government now stands at Shs168.8 billion.
