Hailstorm destroys homes and crops in at least ten villages of Kamira Town Council, Luweero

A two-hour rainstorm with hailstones and strong winds blew roofs off houses, uprooted trees and flattened gardens in at least ten villages of Kamira Town Council, according to the Nile Post. The Makonkonyigo Village chairperson said at least 20 households in his village were severely affected, and a Kikandwa village leader said domestic animals died. Local leaders appealed for assessments and emergency relief.
