Justice Andrew Kaukha of the High Court in Kampala declined to revisit the nomination credentials of Makindye Division East MP Kasirye Nganda Ali (Mulyanyama), saying the Electoral Commission had already handled the matter, but allowed NRM candidate Judith Abaho Nuwabeine's petition to proceed on alleged non-compliance with electoral laws, with a hearing set for October 19 and 20. Nuwabeine's lawyer Fox Odoi said she would seek leave to appeal, saying the EC never determined her complaint.
