High Court dismisses challenge to Loydah Twinomujuni's nomination as Mbarara Woman MP candidate

Acting judge Bonny Isaac Teko of the High Court in Kampala dismissed a petition by a rival candidate challenging the academic qualifications behind Loydah Twinomujuni Kyarikunda's nomination as Mbarara District Woman MP candidate. The court held that the petition had been filed about 18 days after the Electoral Commission's decision, outside the five-day limit, so it had no jurisdiction. Each party was ordered to bear its own costs.
