High Court dismisses Vasundhara Oswal's bid to stop revival of Luwero criminal case and police questioning

According to ChimpReports, High Court Registrar Simon Kintu Zirintusa in Kampala struck out an application by PRO Industries executive director Vasundhara Oswal seeking to stop the reinstatement of a Luwero criminal case and to restrain police from re-arresting or questioning her and her family. The registrar found the supporting affidavit defective because stamp duty had not been paid when it was filed, and ruled that later payment could not cure the defect. The ruling leaves police and prosecutors free to continue investigations linked to the case of Indian chef Mukesh Kumar Menaria.
