High Court in Kampala sentences two to death and seven to life over 2018 kidnap and murder of Susan Magara

According to The Observer, Justice Alex Mackay Ajiji of the High Court in Kampala sentenced Hajjarah Nakandi and Abbas Musa Buvumbo to death and seven co-convicts to life imprisonment for the 2018 kidnapping and murder of businesswoman Susan Magara. The judge classed the case as 'rarest of the rare' and ordered the forfeiture of vehicles, land and other assets said to have been bought with ransom money, to be passed to the victim's family as compensation.
