High Court judge declines to refer Besigye treason case to Constitutional Court, Kampala

According to The Observer, Justice Emmanuel Baguma of the High Court criminal division dismissed an application by Kizza Besigye, Obeid Lutale and Captain Denis Oola to refer their treason case to the Constitutional Court over whether they could get a fair trial. The defence had cited complaints to the Judicial Service Commission accusing the judge of bias; the judge adjourned the case to 4 December 2025 for plea taking.
