High Court orders attachment of Nakaseke district bank accounts over unpaid award to former health officer

An Assistant Registrar of the High Court Civil Division ordered Stanbic Bank to attach three Nakaseke district accounts to recover UGX 39,255,277 owed to the district's former District Health Officer, Badru Ssesimba, according to The Independent. Ssesimba said the district had agreed to pay this partial sum by 30 October 2020 but did not, and that its officials failed to appear in court. The Chief Administrative Officer declined to comment, saying he had not received the order.
