According to ChimpReports, Justice Patience Rubagumya of the High Court Commercial Division ruled that the state-owned National Housing and Construction Company breached a sale agreement for a Naalya apartment by cancelling it and demanding a lump-sum balance without notifying the buyers of construction milestones. The court ordered a refund of the Shs40 million deposit with interest, Shs20 million in general damages and half the costs, but declined to order handover of the flat, which had been sold to a third party. NHCC had not publicly commented, the outlet said.
