High Court quashes government listing of Watoto Church property in Kampala as heritage site

According to The Observer, Justice Bonny Isaac Teko quashed the government's designation of property occupied by Watoto Church Ministries and Kampala Playhouse Limited on Kampala Road and Buganda Road as a protected historical and cultural site. The judge found no evidence of the required recommendation, consultation and Cabinet approval, declared the designation unlawful, barred its enforcement and ordered the Attorney General to pay costs.
