High Court quashes NRM tribunal decision, reinstates Paul Akamba as NRM flagbearer for Busiki

Justice Collins Acellam of the High Court in Kampala ruled that the NRM District Registrar and the party's Election Disputes Tribunal acted outside their mandate in reversing Paul Akamba's declared win in the 18 July Busiki primaries in favour of Watswa Joel Azalwa. According to ChimpReports, the court found the re-tally was conducted without Akamba and included three non-existent polling stations, and ordered the party to issue Akamba its flag.
