High Court rejects Mutabwire's bid for more time to appeal EC nullification of his nomination

Justice Collins Acellam of the High Court in Kampala dismissed an application by Patrick Kyamukaate Mutabwire, an aspirant for the Western Uganda older persons' MP seat, for extra time to appeal an Electoral Commission decision of 23 November 2025 that nullified his nomination. According to ChimpReports, the judge found the appeal was filed outside the five-day limit and that WhatsApp screenshots did not show special circumstances; the appeal was struck out.
