According to ChimpReports, Acting High Court Judge Peter Kinobe dismissed a petition by NUP candidate Matthias Walukagga against the Electoral Commission's decision to set aside his nomination for the Busiro East seat, finding that his Mature Age/Aptitude Test certificate had expired before nomination. EC Deputy Spokesperson Paul Bukenya welcomed the ruling the next day, saying it concluded the matter.
