International Actions Verified Lira 22 Apr 2026 Severity: 1/5

At a stakeholders' dialogue in Lira City, ICC Public Information and Outreach Coordinator Maria Mabinty Kamara said the court had received concerns from some communities that people were fabricating accounts to be registered as victims for reparations in the Dominic Ongwen case. She said safeguards and community Victim Participatory Committees were being put in place. According to her, over 19,500 victims have been helped to fill in forms, but only about 500 have been fully assessed, and many cannot be reached.
