ICPAU tells Uganda Airlines its finance chief is not a registered member as required by law

According to The Observer, ICPAU chief executive Derrick Nkajja wrote to Uganda Airlines chief executive Girma Wake saying chief finance officer Allan Joel Kyeyune is not on the institute's register, despite the Accountants Act requiring heads of finance in public-interest entities to be members. The Observer also reported documents showing the airline's procurement head reported to the CFO, contrary to PPDA guidance that the head of procurement report to the accounting officer. Kyeyune referred questions to the airline's public relations office, which was not available for comment.
