Incumbent Kabale LC5 chairperson Nshangabasheija nominated as Independent candidate

Kabale District Returning Officer Aisha Nansubuga nominated incumbent LC5 Chairperson Nelson Nshangabasheija to run as an Independent, ChimpReports reports, making him the first candidate nominated when the exercise opened. He had lost the NRM flag in the 17 July primaries and said he was running again because of what he called widespread malpractice in those primaries and calls from his supporters.
