Joint security team searches Anita Among's rural residence in Kamutur sub-county, Bukedea

According to the Daily Monitor, a convoy of seven security vehicles carrying CID, Forensics Directorate and Crime Intelligence detectives arrived at outgoing Speaker Anita Among's home in Aputput village, Kamutur sub-county, at about 9:30am and sealed it off. The paper said the search is part of an investigation sanctioned by President Museveni into alleged corruption, abuse of office, illicit enrichment and money laundering. Items recovered had not been officially disclosed by Friday afternoon.
