Judge bars live coverage of Bukimbiri election petitions at Kabale High Court

Justice Farouq Lubega, presiding over two petitions against the election of Bukimbiri County MP Eddie Kwizera wa Gahungu, prohibited live recording of the proceedings by media or individuals with phones during a pre-hearing conference. He said the restriction was meant to prevent distortion of the proceedings and that the court record would later be made available.
