Kabale court charges NUP official Derrick Katebire and grants him bail

ChimpReports reported that Kabale Grade I Magistrate Isaac Rukundo charged Derrick Katebire, NUP secretary general for Kigezi, over an illegal assembly and a negligent act likely to spread an infectious disease. Katebire pleaded not guilty, told court the case was politically motivated, and was granted non-cash bail of Shs1 million; the case was adjourned to 3 December 2020.
