Kabale court convicts former Rukungiri LC5 aspirant of stealing Shs 440 million from former MP's family

According to ChimpReports, Kabale Grade I Magistrate Aziza Nyevu convicted Angello Twinomuhangi Bagorogoza, a former Rukungiri District LC5 chairperson aspirant and former aide to ex-Rubabo County MP Mary Paula Turyahikayo Kebirungyi, on charges of theft and obtaining money by false pretence. Prosecutors said money the family gave him to buy land was taken between October 2020 and February 2021. The court rejected a defence request to defer judgment, issued an arrest warrant for the absent convict and set sentencing for 10 March 2026.
