Kabale District LC5 Chairperson Nelson Nshangabasheija suspended Vice Chairperson Miria Tugume from all official duties in a letter dated 1 April 2026, according to ChimpReports. He accused her of presenting the district's draft budget without his authorisation and said a committee would investigate and report to the district council. ChimpReports could not obtain a comment from Tugume.
