Kabale RDC threatens to arrest NRM leaders who campaign for independent or opposition candidates

According to ChimpReports, Kabale Resident District Commissioner Darius Nandinda told a meeting of NRM sub-county and town council leaders that he would arrest any NRM leader found campaigning for independent or opposition candidates. The remarks followed statements by two party figures at the meeting that they would not back NRM flag bearers. Minister David Bahati, the Kabale district NRM chairperson, rebuked the RDC at the meeting, saying the party does not resolve internal issues that way.
