Kampala High Court begins pre-trial scheduling of 2026 parliamentary and local council election petitions

Judges at the Kampala High Court began pre-trial scheduling conferences for petitions arising from the January 2026 parliamentary and local council elections, according to the Daily Monitor. At least 20 petitions have been listed before four judges, and 17 were dealt with on the first day; the judges warned litigants against delays and encouraged mediation.
