Kawempe court charges NUP's Mufumbiro and Madaada with unlawful drilling, remands them to 29 September

Grade One Magistrate Damalie Agumaasiimwe at the Kawempe court in Kampala charged Alex Waiswa Mufumbiro and Saudah Madaada with unlawful drilling, conspiracy to commit a felony and related offences, and remanded them until 29 September, the Daily Monitor reports. They were added to a case against six of NUP president Robert Kyagulanyi's private security personnel already on remand. Mufumbiro told journalists the charges were trumped up and politically motivated.
