KCCA said its officers carried out an enforcement operation on 8 October against Green Power International on Princess Anne Road, Bugolobi, over an unapproved change of land use, after residents complained and the firm ignored an enforcement notice and stop order. According to KCCA, the company's management blocked access, seized a KCCA vehicle and incited people to attack officers, and those involved were arrested and taken to court the same day. Social media reports alleged that KCCA officers assaulted a Chinese investor and beat employees, which KCCA denied.
