In a letter dated 20 November 2025, Kuku Foods Uganda Limited, which runs KFC restaurants in Uganda, said URA officers with armed personnel entered its Kampala offices on 19 November and stayed until nearly midnight, taking electronic data from company devices without prior notice. The company also objected to URA reopening an audit for July 2019 to February 2022. URA spokesperson Robert Kalumba told the Daily Monitor the company's account was exaggerated.
