Kyagulanyi cancels Kanungu rally after security does not clear venues; one venue given to NRM

NUP presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi cancelled his planned rally in Kanungu District after security did not clear the venues his team had identified, according to the Daily Monitor. The NUP district chairperson said St Pius playground was not cleared and Kihihi Community Polytechnic playground was instead given to the NRM for a rally, and that police later pointed them to another ground without a clearance letter. Mr Kyagulanyi campaigned only in Mbarara that day.
