Law student charged at Buganda Road court over video recording of High Court judge

A Kampala International University law student was charged before Buganda Road Chief Magistrate's Court with unlawfully obtaining personal data under the Data Protection and Privacy Act, over a video recording of Justice Andrew Khauka allegedly made at the High Court in Kampala on 10 October 2025. He pleaded not guilty; the prosecution opposed bail, but the magistrate granted non-cash bail and adjourned the case to 25 November 2025.
