Lawyers petition Acting Chief Registrar over magistrate's refusal to release Hassan Male Mabirizi

According to the Daily Monitor, lawyers petitioned Acting Chief Registrar Pamel Lamunu Ocaya, accusing Buganda Road Chief Magistrate Rita Neumbe Kidasa of defying the Constitutional Court ruling by not releasing lawyer Hassan Male Mabirizi unconditionally. The Uganda Law Society also criticised his continued detention at Luzira Prison.
