LDC Magistrates Court in Kampala grants bail to journalist Arnold Mukose in First Lady fake news case

Grade One Magistrate Ivan Maloba of the Law Development Centre Magistrates Court granted journalist Arnold Anthony Mukose cash bail of five million shillings, after more than a month on remand. URN reports that the defence argued the offences were bailable, and that the court accepted two sureties bound by a non-cash bond of 50 million shillings. The case was set for trial on 18 May after the prosecution said investigations were complete.
