Lutale's lawyers withdraw objection to transcripts in Besigye treason trial at High Court in Kampala

According to NTV Uganda, lawyers for Lutale, a co-accused of Besigye, withdrew their objection to the admission of transcripts of recordings that the prosecution says show meetings in Athens, Geneva and Nairobi planning to overthrow the government. The court spent Monday playing the recordings against the transcription report of a Makerere University lecturer; the accused deny the charges and the trial was adjourned to 8 October.
