According to the Daily Monitor, the Magistrate's Court at Makindye remanded Makindye West MP Allan Ssewanyana and four supporters to Kitalya prison until 23 November, on charges of holding a campaign rally on 15 November at Mulungu Landing Site, Munyonyo, in breach of COVID-19 rules, which they denied. The state attorney said investigations were ongoing; Ssewanyana, who the paper says had been in custody since Monday, said police brought him to court late on purpose so that he could not apply for bail.
