Masindi High Court strikes out land suit against Uganda Muslim Supreme Council over Kiryandongo ranch

Justice Isah Sserunkuma of the Masindi High Court struck out a civil suit filed by a man and ten others claiming ownership of a one-square-mile parcel, Ranch 17A of the Bunyoro Ranch Scheme in Kiryandongo, held by the Uganda Muslim Supreme Council. According to the Nile Post, the court found the claimants had attached no documentary evidence of purchase and that the suit disclosed no cause of action, while UMSC presented land office records showing its ownership.
