UPDF recruitment team arrests applicant over alleged bribe attempt in Masindi

A 20-year-old recruitment applicant was arrested at the Masindi District headquarters during UPDF recruitment screening and handed to Masindi Central Police Station. Brig Rogers Kitwala, who led the recruitment team, said the man offered Shs20,000 to four officers verifying documents after discrepancies were found in his papers; the applicant reportedly said the money was for water.
