Ministry of Health Commissioner for Emergencies Dr John Baptist Wanyari announced that all ambulances operating in Uganda will be registered, and that those not meeting standards will not be approved. He made the announcement at a meeting in Naguru organised by the Korea Foundation for International Healthcare, saying the exercise aims to remove fraudulent operators and improve emergency medical services.
