Naguru I Parish LC2 vote delayed over claims serving police officers took part; contestant boycotts

Voting for the Naguru I Parish LC2 chairperson in Nakawa Division was delayed for several hours after a contestant alleged that a candidate and an LC1 committee member were serving police officers, the Daily Monitor reported. The EC returning officer allowed voting to proceed pending the petition; the complainant and his supporters boycotted, and the accused candidate had withdrawn.
