Nakawa court grants bail to NUP official John Mary Ssebuwufu on incitement charge

The Chief Magistrate's Court in Nakawa granted Shs500,000 cash bail to John Mary Ssebuwufu, a National Unity Platform Election Management Committee member and KCCA Lord Councillor for Nakawa, and ordered him to deposit his passport. He had been on remand in Luzira Prison on a charge of incitement to violence, which he denies; the state alleges he incited attacks on NRM supporters in late 2025.
