According to the Daily Monitor, Nakawa Chief Magistrate Esther Nyadoi sentenced a 20-year-old senior six student to six months in prison after he pleaded guilty to two counts of malicious information under the Computer Misuse Act. Prosecutors said he used TikTok between August and November 2025 to post false claims that President Museveni was bedridden and about the sexuality of CDF Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba; the magistrate declined to allow a fine. He denied a separate hate speech count, set for trial on 6 January 2026.
