Nateete-Rubaga court bars UBC witness for nine youths on trial for defaming Pastor Robert Kayanja

The Daily Monitor reports that Principal Magistrate Adams Byarugaba at the Chief Magistrate's Court at Nateete-Rubaga rejected a defence request to call a Uganda Broadcasting Corporation transcriber in the trial of nine youths charged with defaming Pastor Robert Kayanja. He ruled that the late, undisclosed witness would prejudice the prosecution, but allowed the defence to call the Makerere University expert it had originally disclosed.
