NRM Election Disputes Tribunal nullifies Collins Tanga's election as NRM Youth League chairperson

The NRM Election Disputes Tribunal, sitting at its Kampala headquarters, annulled the August 2025 election of Collins Tanga as NRM Youth League chairperson after petitions from three candidates, The Observer reports. The tribunal found a conflict of interest because his father, Dr Tanga Odoi, chaired the party electoral commission that ran the vote and declared him the winner, and found that two candidates had been wrongly left out. It ordered a fresh election in which Dr Tanga Odoi is not to take part.
