NRM's Judith Nuwabeine petitions High Court to nullify Makindye Division East election won by NUP's Kasirye Nganda

According to the Daily Monitor, NRM candidate Judith Nuwabeine filed an election petition in the High Court Civil Division seeking to set aside the election of NUP's Kasirye Nganda Ali (Mulyanyama) as MP for Makindye Division East. She alleges he lacked the minimum academic qualifications and questions his identity documents, and accuses the Electoral Commission of altering results, mistallying and voter suppression. She asks the court to declare her the winner; the EC had declared Mr Kasirye winner with 17,700 votes to her 15,522.
