Makerere University announced that Gracious Kadondi, a candidate described by ChimpReports as NUP-leaning, won the guild presidential election with 6,801 votes, defeating former Miss Uganda Hannah Karema. NUP leader Bobi Wine, who had publicly backed Kadondi, congratulated her after the results were declared.
