NUP deputy spokesperson Mufumbiro and aspirant Madaada charged with unlawful drilling, remanded to Luzira

NUP deputy spokesperson Alex Waiswa Mufumbiro and Kampala Central aspirant Saudah Madaada were charged at Kawempe Grade One Magistrates Court with unlawful drilling and conspiracy to commit a felony over an alleged February 2025 gathering at NUP offices in Makerere-Kavule, the Daily Monitor reports. They were added to a case against Kyagulanyi's security aides; all nine accused pleaded not guilty and were remanded to Luzira Prison until 29 September, while Mufumbiro told the court the charges were politically motivated.
