NUP Kassambya candidate Peter Kyagera arrested at Mubende EC offices over alleged forged receipt

According to Nile Post, Peter Kyagera, the National Unity Platform flagbearer for Kassambya Constituency, was arrested at the Electoral Commission offices in Mubende on 23 October 2025. He is accused of presenting a forged Uganda Revenue Authority receipt for the Shs3 million nomination fee.
