NUP Teso coordinator Jonathan Okware and three others arrested in Toroma County, Katakwi

Police arrested NUP Teso coordinator Jonathan Okware, Toroma County NUP chairperson David Livingston Lima and two others, reportedly for taking photos and videos of police officers, The Observer reports. NUP mobiliser George William Okoit said two were released on police bond while Okware and Lima stayed in custody, and called the arrests politically motivated. Police commanders did not answer calls, but police sources said the suspects were still held and charges were under review.
