Vice President Jessica Alupo was nominated by the Electoral Commission to contest the Katakwi District Woman MP seat on the NRM ticket for the 2026 elections, according to Nile Post. After nomination she thanked the EC for the process and called on candidates and supporters to campaign peacefully.
