NUP's Shabiru Muhando declared Iganga District LCV chairperson, defeating incumbent Ezera Gabula

According to The Independent, NUP candidate Shabiru Muhando won the Iganga District LCV chairperson seat with 42,292 votes against incumbent NRM chairperson Ezera Gabula's 31,195 and independent Livingstone Ndikabona's 1,355. Gabula blamed internal NRM divisions for his loss and asked the government to investigate alleged electoral malpractice.
