Obeid Lutale engages new lawyers of his choice in treason trial before Justice Baguma

The High Court in Kampala was told on Tuesday that co-accused Hajj Obeid Lutale had instructed new lawyers from Baraka Legal Associates, including his daughter, to defend him in the treason trial, according to the Daily Monitor. Counsel asked the court for the trial record to prepare for cross-examination. The newspaper reports Lutale and Besigye had rejected state-appointed lawyers.
