Parliament's Presidential Affairs Committee directs KCCA to enforce axle load controls on Kampala roads

According to ChimpReports, Parliament's Committee on Presidential Affairs directed the Kampala Capital City Authority to implement axle load control measures on city roads during a meeting on the KCCA's 2026/27 Ministerial Policy Statement. At the same meeting, Nakawa West MP and Lord Mayor-elect Ronald Balimwezo said road reserves such as Kataza Link Road had reportedly been subdivided and encroached upon, and called for an asset register.
