Police allegedly fire live bullets at students at Makerere University's Mitchell Hall and arrest one person

In a petition to the Vice Chancellor, students of Makerere University's Mitchell Hall alleged that police fired live bullets at unarmed students during a night incident at the hall, reportedly during a confrontation over suspected gay activities. The petition says police later arrested a suspect. The students demanded accountability from the university and the Uganda Police Force; ChimpReports does not report a police response.
